Our Statement of Faith

The Holy Bible – We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God through the Holy Spirit, which He uses to reveal Himself to us, increase our faith, and provide direction for our lives. (2nd Timothy 3:16)

The Holy Trinity – We believe that there is one true God who exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (1st John 5:7)

Salvation – Jesus paid for all our sins, and therefore purchased our salvation with His sacrifice. There is nothing we can do to earn it as this is a gift He freely gives to all who believe and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and that He died for your sin, was risen again by the Father (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:9-13)

Jesus – We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man. We believe Christ died for our sins; was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the church. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18, 14:21,23; Romans 4:25; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4; 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Creation – We believe God created the universe and all life, as described in Genesis, declaring it good. Humanity, made in God’s image, is called to steward creation, rejecting evolutionary theories that deny divine design. (Genesis 1: 1-31: Exodus 20:11: John 1:1-3)

Sin and the Fall – We believe all humanity inherits a sinful nature from Adam’s disobedience, resulting in separation from God and spiritual death. Through Christ, redemption restores what was lost, calling us to repentance and holy living. (Genesis 3:1-19; Romans 3:23; 5:12)

Communion – We believe in Communion of the Lord’s Supper for believers. (1st Cor 11:23-32)

Gathering in Fellowship – Coming together in worship is a key in our growth as Christians. It is critical to be among believers as well as to be trained and equipped to do the work of the ministry (Proverbs 27:17; Hebrews 10:25; Hebrews 13:17; 1st Corinthians 12:12)

The Church – The church of Jesus Christ is the instrument that God is using to extend His kingdom prior to the second coming of Christ. (Ephesians 1:20-22, 3:10; Matthew 16:18)

The Local Church – The local church is self-governing, self-supporting, and self propagating, amenable and accountable only to the apostolic authority of the Bishop/President. Every believer in Christ must be subject to God’s authority in a specific local church for spiritual protection and long term fruitfulness. (Hebrews 13:17)

Tithing – We believe tithing, giving a tenth of one’s income, reflects faith, not law. Abraham gave a tenth to Melchizedek, priest-king of Salem, honoring God’s provision. Jesus, our eternal High Priest in Melchizedek’s order is honored through tithes, supporting His church’s missions (Genesis 14:18-20: Hebrews 7:1-10: Psalm 110:4: Galatians 3:7-9)

Giving – Offerings are voluntary gifts, given cheerfully from the heart. Beyond finances, they include time, talents, and service, reflecting Christ’s generosity. We teach to give how the Holy Spirit leads and directs and to do so without boasting and seeking only God’s approval. (2 Corinthians 9:7: Romans 12:6-8: Hebrews 13:16: Matthew 6:1-4)

Water Baptism – We believe every believer should be identified with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, through water baptism by immersion. (Matthew 3:13-17, 28:19: Acts 2:34-39, 10:47, 48, 19:1-6)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit – We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit endows the believer with power to be effective witnesses for Christ. The infilling of the Holy Spirit empowers believers to build themself up, is a sign for the unbeliever, and the edification of the body. (Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-4, 8:14-17, 10:44-46: Romans 12:6-8: 1 Corinthians 12:4-11: Galatians 3:14, 15, 1 Peter 4:10,11)

Use of Spiritual Gifts – We believe in the use of all the Spiritual Gifts God gives us as in His word (1st Corinthians 12)

Healing – We believe in the healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing and its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church. (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1st Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-15)

Reverence for the Lord – We believe in the spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of the Christian faith (Ephesians 5:8: 2nd Corinthians 6:14, 7:11)

The Five-Fold Ministry – The Lord established these five ministries to the Church, as a gift, to foster its corporate life. Which are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13)

The Church Government – We believe that the biblical form of church government is theocratic, consisting of a senior minister under apostolic authority, who qualifies on the basis of the call of God, spiritual life, domestic life, character, and ability to rule, along with plurality of eldership. (1st Timothy 3)

Marriage – As stated in the Word, we believe marriage is a covenant union between one man and one woman with Jesus as the unbreakable bond connecting the two (Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:6)

Life – We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image, and therefore possesses inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other state or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Genesis 1:26,27; Psalm 139:13-16; Job 31:15; Matthew 25:40)

Eternal Life – We believe in eternal life for believers (John 3:16, 5:24) and eternal punishment for unbelievers. (Mark 9:43-48; 2nd Thessalonians 1:9; Revelations 20:10-15)
