One of the amazing gifts that the Lord has blessed us with is choice. He does not force is to walk out the call designed for each of us, He does not force us to worship Him, He does not force us to even recognize Him in our lives. When we make the choice to seek the Lord for ourselves, we can then seek even greater the choices He gives us and desire His will and not our own.

Teach me to do Your will [so that I may please You], For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Psalms 143:10 AMP

There is a learning curve that comes that comes from going God’s direction and not your own. Denying our own selfish desires is not easy and is a consistent struggle, but God give us the strength and wisdom to win those battles. In time we can be victorious in that battle against flesh, but we need one another. We need God to train and equip us and the people He uses! This is part of being in a local church, to be taught and strengthened.

God has placed ministerial callings on people to do just this. When we place a demand on that call, we not only help those people but we get built up in the process. We acknowledge the call on their live which causes them to seek God more, they in turn pour out on others to build them up and hopefully encourage those people to seek God as well and on and on it goes. When each of us are doing our part of the body of Christ, seeking God first, then we get a step closer to that perfected bride of Christ!

As the days draw closer to His return, let’s draw closer to Him. Choose Him over yourself and encourage others to do the same.

Blessings to you on your journey with God
